Matcha Green Smoothie

Even though I’m a natural foods chef and have heard about matcha for years, it wasn’t until recently that I had the taste for it. Now, I would not say I’m obsessed with the green leaves, but have found it a pleasant and grounding way to start the day.

I prefer this slightly warm or at room temperature, but if you prefer a cooler, creamier feeling, use a frozen banana.

1 teaspoon matcha
1 cup activated almond milk
1/2 cup filtered water
1 handful spinach
1 banana or 2 dates
1/4 cup coconut yogurt (Anita’s is my go-to)
splash of vanilla
3 tablespoons Beauti-fuel


Add all ingredients to your blender. Blend for 30 seconds until everything is completely smooth.
